HHIP
(Hillside Homeownership Initiative Program)
The Hillside Homeownership Initiative Program is an employer-assisted
homeownership partnership between NHS Duluth, Local Initiatives Support
Corporation (LISC), and Duluth employers. The program will increase the
rate of homeownership in the Central Hillside, East Hillside, and Endion
neighborhoods by providing down payment and closing cost assistance.
Specifics of the HHIP include:
$2,000 Down Payment / Closing Cost Assistance*
Forgivable grants
No Income Guidelines!
The homes must be the purchaser's primary residence.
An additional $2,000 in matching funds may be provided by the
Greater Minnesota Housing Fund for
income-qualified purchasers.

The Hillside Business Association
*Program participants are required to complete the Home Buyer Education Program &
one-on-one Counseling Session.
