Specifics of the Homebuyer Education Workshops:
Topics covered include:

• financial and credit qualifications
• the mortgage lending process
• how real estate transactions work
• insurance
• inspections
• how to overcome barriers to homeownership.

Completing the workshop and one individual counseling session earns a certificate needed to meet eligibility requirements for various affordable lending products throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

This program is US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved.

To register for the Homebuyer Education workshop, click here to print one out or call us at (218) 727-8604 and we will mail you a form . Fill out the registration form, sign it, and then mail your completed application with your non-refundable* $50 registration fee (the registration fee is "per household") to:

*Any “no shows” without cancellation prior to the workshop will forfeit their registration fee.

Please do not bring children to the workshop.  Childcare is NOT provided.
